Role

The successful candidate will manage grant-funded projects across their full lifecycle, including coordination of technical inputs, preparation of grant applications, submission of claims and development of high-quality technical and financial reports in accordance with funding agency requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or have a valid work permit.
  • PMP designation is needed.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and contribute to high-quality grant applications.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate technical content into clear, compelling proposals and reports.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Experience coordinating inputs from technical, financial, and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with government and public funding programs is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate execution of grant-funded projects, including tracking milestones, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
  • Lead and support the preparation of grant applications, including coordination of technical narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
  • Compile and submit technical and financial reports in accordance with funding agreement requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, finance, and management teams for all grant-related activities.
  • Maintain organized records of grant documentation, correspondence, and supporting evidence.
  • Monitor project progress against approved work plans and funding agreements.
  • Identify risks related to scope, schedule, compliance, or reporting and support mitigation strategies.
  • Support compliance with funding agreement obligations and reporting standards.
  • Assist with identifying and assessing new grant and funding opportunities.
  • Meet AGORA’s quality standards.
  • The candidate must be a self-starting, self-motivated and well-organized person.
