Industrial
Agora battery creates a bridge between utilities and industrial partners and thus constitutes an essential technological asset for:
a) Storing inexpensive electricity produced at night and facilitating consumption during peak hours of the day,
b) Enabling for the first time CO2 neutral industrial operations,
c) Converting large amounts of CO2 into valuable energy that can be re-distributed back to the industrial facility,
d) Providing long duration backup power needed during transient outages or long-term energy storage provisions as a follow-up of natural disasters.
Industrial sectors that can benefit of utility scale battery are:
- Petrochemical
- Power plants
- Mining
- Chemical Plants
- Cement manufacturing
- Steel producers

Micro-grids
A combination of renewables forms of electricity generation and CO2 emitters with energy storage could enable self-sufficient microgrid that would power a facility for months at a time. Reliable micro-grids have tremendous advantages not only for island-mode operations in remote locations but also have the potential to overcome the undesirable disruptive outages that occur after natural disasters.
Sectors that could highly benefit:
- Island-mode operating facilities
- Data centers
- Remote communities and Islands
- EV charging stations

Grid scale
Grid-scale energy storage is instrumental in the manner utilities produce and deliver electricity. At present power plants encounter great difficulties in handling load leveling and grid integration of renewable energy sources.
Power plants meet peak demands in an expensive, inefficient, and non-sustainable manner. A robust energy storage technology can shave peak loads and eliminate congestion with excess energy produced by baseload generation during off-peak hours and by tapping onto the renewables during peak generation.
Large cost savings and long-term societal benefits can be achieved as:
- Infrastructure optimization by reduced cost in new infrastructure deployment and maximizing the existing grid assets
- Energy arbitrage by minimization the use of or complete replacement of high-emitters gas-fired peak generation.
- Reduce CO2 emissions by facilitating a wide penetration of renewables
- Alleviate the strain on congested locations and mitigating costs on transmission and distribution systems.

Renewables
Renewable forms of energy could constitute the largest portion of our electricity supply if their intermittency wouldn’t be a major constraint. Agora battery could be instrumental in integration of these valuable resources into the grid and micro-grid components and thus enabling a wide-spread availability for clean power generation and transmission.
Sectors served:
- Wind power generation
- Solar Power generation
- Hydro-power generation

Telecom
The majority of telecom towers are reliant on diesel generators with a direct consequence of having high energy costs.
The option of using energy storage for back-up power offers the benefit of operational flexibility as well as reductions in energy, maintenance and transportation costs.
Agora’s battery has the advantage of low-cost, long-life, temperature tolerance and very low carbon footprint energy back-up power alternative.

Commercial
Energy storage could play a dominant role in facilitating a large penetration of renewables in the energy mix for servicing the commercial sector.
Agora’s CO2 neutral, long-lasting and temperature tolerant batteries can overcome peak demands management in large metropolis of diverse geographical regions.
